Car painting is a complex process that requires skill and experience. Before painting, the car must be thoroughly cleaned of dirt, dust, and rust. A primer is applied and allowed to dry. Then, 2–3 layers of enamel are sprayed, with each layer carefully dried. Finally, a clear coat is applied. The final step is polishing, which smooths out minor imperfections and enhances the finish.

At Hunters, we never recommend a full repaint unless it’s absolutely necessary. Minor issues are handled with precision spot painting or other localized repair methods.

What types of paint are used in car painting?

If you're painting a new car, you can use any type of automotive paint.
For older cars, it's better to use a more durable paint like enamel or polyurethane.
For vehicles that will be used in harsh conditions, polyurethane paint is recommended due to its extra durability.
If you’re on a tight budget, acrylic paint can be used, but it is less durable and has a shorter lifespan compared to other types.

At Hunters Garage, we use Standox and Wanda paints. For military vehicles, we use more budget-friendly materials.
